So I have a Juiced ebike, Juiced went out of business and I understand I can't go back to them for the issue I am having with their highly recommended bike at the time. I ride my bike on the SD bike paths and noticed on March 14, 2025 two of my back wheel spokes were broken. A friend told me about this place, took my bike into the shop, talked to Omar, he was real positive that he could replace and make sure the wheel was properly tuned to ride again. I also had them do a tune up. They called and said all looked good, wheel looked good cost $250. I rode the bike two times and another two back spokes are broken one week later. Take bike back, Omar said he could fix, they fix for $26. Fast forward to end of May, two more spokes are broken. Take back to shop, talked to Omar to see what could be done to stop all of this breaking?? Not sure if he was having a bad day but basically told me company is out of business...okay I knew this. What could be causing this and how to fix it? I was frustrated with all this too, may be I am expecting too much from the whole ebike environment/sales/after service, but when I pay for something it would be nice for it to be fixed or help me move in that direction. I mean I know there are now many different companies making these but I would think a wheel and spokes would be the same and should be able worked/replaced without too many issues. He made it sound like he couldn't do anything with it, suggest I cut the spokes and ride until something else happens, just doesn't seem right. At first service I thought they were all cool and knew what they were doing, this last call I came away as they were totally unprofessional on how to provide service to the community. Maybe I expect too much. I don't mind paying for something done right, I just want to make sure it is fixed and I don't keep on having the same issue. If they were totally backlogged, he could of at least said so, 'I would gladly look into it and let you know'. Anyway, I don't enjoy giving anyone a 1 star but feel this needed to be done. At first they were 5 stars. 06/17/25 -- update: Chris contacted me and I have to say he is trying to work with me to correct the issues I am having and I really appreciate the feedback and service he is willing to give to correct the problem. If you are having problems or just need normal service check this shop out and give them the chance for your business., we need good bike shops like this. It is hard to find the words to express how grateful my son and I are to the people who own and work at OB e-bikes. We have been getting my son’s bike repaired there for over a year. His first bike had a lot of complications and they were always honest about what his bike needed and fixed things at a more than fair price. His e-bike was stolen and I could not afford to buy him a car, so I bought him another e-bike but again, it was nothing fancy…it was what I could afford. Unfortunately this bike had a ton of problems. The people at OB e-bikes told me how my son is always very respectful and polite when he comes in, he built a good rapport with them, and we trusted them for their honest opinions. They told my son his current bike was a “death trap”. They were so concerned about him riding it around that they gifted him a bike (my son only had to pay for some of the parts), which was nothing. My son has basketball almost every day and needs the transportation to get to where he needs to go. I don’t understand this guys. I asked to put the hydraulic brakes on my e-bike. First he asked for $350. I told him I do have original brakes from manufacture. He said ok I will do for $200. These guys are superstars. I have rarely come upon a shop that will take any bike with any system and work on it. No extra charges, just charged according to the work and the parts and maybe a little extra for the difficulty - all well worth it. I have a particular bike that is a pain to work on that is pretty much a blend of different systems - they didnt hesitate to take it on as a project. My 2 trips here have been well worth it and I will be back again to keep my machine running tip-top.
