It’s a leash free dog beach in Ocean Beach with free parking, but it could be very difficult to find one on weekends, holidays, summer time. It also has very nice and beautiful walking trails.

Dog beach is great. Parking can be a pain especially if you go mid morning 9 through 5. But if you get there early you'll be fine. Sometimes you have to circle the lot for 30min plus to find a spot or try and find street parking and walk to the beach. Street parking is equally as hard to find.

Okay. Google maps defined this spot as "Free Parking Lot" but it's actually Dog Beach in OB. In the busiest part of the days are too much for me and Fen but the past 2 days we've gone around 6:30 am and it's PERFECT. The sun is rising, there's mist on the water. It's not too hot. I grab a coffee and a pupcup at the local coffee shack and it's been just so cool with the dogs all mellow and friendly. The people too. Hopefully these photos will help describe the place. I love this dog Beach at Ocean Beach SD. There aren't very many beaches that allow dogs in San Diego, this one is my favorite. It has a decent amount of free parking. Ocean beach faces one side and Dog Beach is on the corner. The dogs can be off leash and it's so fun to see all the dogs running and playing together. There is a lifeguard present.
