I started here as a ceramics student back in 2022 looking for a creative outlet that didn’t relate to my job and this place quickly became my creative safe haven. I joined the clay membership and attended a book club that truly made me feel at home as a Seattle transplant. When the owner (Court) learned I was a jeweler the big idea of building a metalsmithing studio came to be a year later - we now have a pretty robust metals/jewelry studio in the dreamy upstairs loft and I still pinch myself over the fact that the original comforting vibe I entered has now expanded to support my craft too. We have so much fun here - come take a metal or clay class with us 🥰

I almost don’t want to give a review because I love this place so much and want to keep it all to myself. Pottery is truly about community and I’m so glad I landed at Of the Earth. I’ve tried a few one off classes throughout Seattle but this place feels like a gem. The teachers and members of this studio really create a wholesome and warm space to unwind after a long day or week. I started with classes and am now a member! Great for beginners and for those who have some experience but want to keep learning. The teachers are so down to demo anything and really get excited to work through any projects you might have in mind. They have shimpo wheels, clay art center clay and glazes. Most importantly, they have SO MUCH natural sunlight. Grateful for the space and for the opportunity to meet such rad folks.
