If you need a cargo bike, this is the place to go if you are even remotely proximate to Chicago. The staff is incredible and prices are fair (some accessories/components are even below MSRP). Their customer service is the best in the city, not just in the LBS sphere, but for any customer facing business. I've bought bikes from multiple local bike shops in Chicago and elsewhere, and Offbeat is by far the most pleasant. You won't get a hint of superiority or aloofness from the staff at Offbeat, which can be common in other bike shops.

I live closer to another bike shop that can technically service my Tern but I make the trip from Rogers Park to Logan Square because the service is well worth the trip. My most recent service had my bike feeling like the very first time I rode my Blue Boo II in July 2020!! 15,000+ miles later and they manage to make it feel brand new. Mandalyn is very communicative and upfront about what services your bike will likely need. I don't understand the mechanics of my bike but it doesn't matter with an honest bike shop that does great work. I can ride and ride until I feel something's off and know Offbeat will take good care of my baby 🚲
