First time eating here and was not disappointed. Was able to walk in and be seated immediately. Waiter was very informative and attentive to the needs of the table with plenty of advice. I had the Tandoori chicken--was told that it was spicy but it had just the right amount for me. Very flavorful and fulfilling meal. Really enjoyed the potatoes. Would definitely visit again if provided the opportunity.

We had a lot of time to kill in the Atlanta airport, and were excited to see that there was a highly rated and acclaimed restaurant. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Monday, and the wait was around 10 minutes. After browsing the menu, we were excited to try a couple of seafood items -- namely the hamachi crudo and the mussels -- but both were not available at the time, and our backup options, the pork belly ramen, also wasn't available. We chose a couple of alternatives, which I was pretty happy with. The tuna poke tacos were delicious -- I would absolutely recommend them and would get them again. Great flavor and textures. I also loved the golden beet and orange salad which was fresh and tasty. The kamikaze sushi roll was quite good as well -- lots of fish. I liked the cocktail we got as well. I wasn't a big fan of the smash burger. The toppings were quite sweet and the meat was not my favorite. The truffle fries also had more of a sweet cheese flavor than a truffle flavor, but they were good fries otherwise. Overall I had a good experience here, and had some tasty foods. The prices are quite high, though, and I was disappointed that they were missing a lot of the items we were interested in.

It was advertised as James Beard twice nominated, travel-inspired provisions, upscale Southern fusion cuisine. I can see why it didn’t win. I could cook better southern fusion. In fact, I’ve had it done better several times: The Appalachian in TN, the Pakalachian in VA, Kultura Charleston in SC. Collard green ramen: potlikker dash, peppered pork belly, soy eggs, nori, kimchi, scallions, sesame seeds. The ramen tasted fine and was better than the ribs but was kind of weird in flavor, lots of stuff going on. My husband said it tasted like you had different leftovers that were all going bad so you had to eat them all at once and they didn’t go together or flow. Lamb ribs: hot bourbon molasses sauce, sweet potato salad, apple, peanuts, kale, goat cheese, benne seeds. The ribs were coated in something that was super gritty and stuck in all your teeth. They were ok, but not the best or anything, and the texture was so weird that it was hard to know if it was seeds or bone or what. Forbidden rice pudding: whiskey poached peaches, coconut cream, toasted coconut. The coconut was the worst dried addition possible to the forbidden rice. It was alright tasting, but felt like when I was in my early 20s trying to be fancy and adding things together from my cabinet that looked nicer than they tasted. The peaches were preserved tasting, the whole thing seemed like it came out of cans and not fresh. The health score was 82. It took over two hours for one entree each, two 16 oz bottled waters $6 each, and one shared dessert. The total was $97.20 before tip. Next time I’d skip the restaurant and just order from the food court.
