Overlook Walk, completed in 2024, is a beautifully designed pedestrian bridge and elevated park in Seattle that connects the vibrant Pike Place Market with the scenic Central Waterfront district. Spanning over the busy Alaskan Way, this architectural marvel provides a seamless and accessible route that bridges a nearly 100-foot vertical gap between downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay waterfront. The design incorporates wide stairs, ample seating areas, and inviting plazas, making it an ideal meeting place for friends and families. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of downtown Seattle landmarks such as Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, the Olympic Mountains, Mount Rainier, and Elliott Bay. The inclusion of the Bluff Walk Playground offers climbing elements and slides, perfect for children, with natural surroundings that create a peaceful retreat amid the city bustle. This could not have been executed any better. Well designed and handles even large amounts of people while providing fantastic views, access to businesses, and fun for kids. Pike’s Place Market may be the tourist destination everyone, but when I go back to Seattle this is where I’ll want to stop. It’s certainly the thing I’d recommend people do!

Wow! For so long I avoided this area because things didn't connect well. (Go out the back side of Pike Place market and go to a sketchy alley... ) I'm so thankful to the designers and planners builders and leaders who had a vision and created this. Ties the waterfront to the market in a beautiful way. It's a lot of steps!!

We loved strolling along this newer gem on the waterfront. The play area was a huge hit as the kiddos could be free to move about. The views are stunning with ships and ferries sailing on the sound. Great views of the ferris wheel, and close proximity to the aquarium and Pike Street market. The addition of the elevator made it so easy with a stroller. The walkway has both stairs and ramps, so you can choose what works for you. Impressive!

Convenient and scenic pathway from Seattle waterfront to Pike Place Market. Super useful considering the elevation differences present in downtown Seattle. Lots of places to sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery, with stunning views which ever direction you look. The structure itself is quite handsome and adds to the character of the waterfront as well.
