Wow I love this place. Any cute little button you can think of, they have!!! I got buttons here to use on a nail set and they worked perfectly. The workers are so helpful too.

I walked in and shook the rain off my umbrella so that it was dry and then closed it to make sure there was nothing to drip anywhere and proceeded to stow it in my backpack. Meanwhile a lady walked in behind me with an umbrella and did nothing to shake the water off hers. This lady behind the cash register started to yell at me in front of everyone that I needed to put my umbrella in a box but said nothing to the lady that walked in behind me with her umbrella. She also did not acknowledge the fact I made the effort to dry off my umbrella and then stow it in my backpack. Again because I was being cognizant of not dripping water anywhere. This is just a rude person not paying attention and also I am not about to leave my umbrella in a box for anyone to steal AND they don’t have a sign posted either to let you know when you enter that you need to deposit your umbrella which they should do rather than to be yelling at people in front of others. On top of the fact they are not yelling this to everyone and only some people and not others. So I am writing this review while standing at the door right before I leave so I can let her know I have done so because this is no way to treat customers and I will not be back and I will be sharing this across the sewing community I am a member of. Not acceptable.

This place is amazing. I was told that M&J was the best trimmings store in Manhattan, but Pacific was truly incredible. The selection of buttons and zippers alone made this worth the visit, but then there were ribbons and elastics and everything else I could possibly need. I wish Seattle had something similar!

It's such a great NYC experience to browse (and buy) in one of those places that has pretty much absolutely everything you could want in buttons, zippers, and clasps. Like going to B+H if you are a tech geek. Part of what makes a visit to the non-touristic parts of Manhattan so great.

The stock is great, but the customer service is pretty bad. Also, don't believe them when they say they're open to a particular hour, get there early. Bitter review? Yeah, probably, because I walked up at 10 minutes before closing, pointed to the zipper I needed to pick up in the front of the store, and while they were still conducting transactions and customers in the store, they turned me away. That's all I needed this time, but I'll shop elsewhere from now when I need to place a bigger order.
