I can’t say enough amazing things about this pottery studio! It’s a true hidden gem and hands down my favorite part of Logan Square. The instructors are incredibly kind, talented, and genuinely passionate about pottery—their enthusiasm is contagious! They helped me become inspired to step outside my comfort zone and make new creations which bring me lots of joy! James is exceptionally talented and has truly elevated the studio in the last several yrs! He's always coming up with new techniques to share and super fun projects to put our skills into practice! The highlight of my day is often being greeted by Ryanne (the wonderful manager who always has the biggest smile) and Jim (the sweetest pup who will do anything for a treat). The owners, Chris & Paige, are also amazing ppl who work very hard to keep classes affordable and make little improvements around the studio every month for us students. I'm so thankful to be able to take classes at Penguin Pottery for the last 2+yrs - it's a little slice of heaven!

I cannot say enough how much I adore Penguin Foot. Classes there are so reasonably priced compared to other pottery studios, and they come with FREE open studio time if you sign up for a class. I’ve taken five of the four-week long sessions in a row and every instructor I’ve had has been stellar. I could not recommend this enough, such a perfect after-work hobby!

My friends and I signed up for a private wheel throwing workshop with Hiroki and it was a blast! There was a range of experience levels in attendance and he was able to assist everyone. We were even able to break out some blindfolds and try to throw a cylinder on the wheel blindfolded. We’re definitely looking to come back in the future! Cool space too

I took Hand building level one with Amber. It was so much fun. I learned a lot. I loved being able to freely take clay and recycle the unused portions. All of my pieces made it through the kiln. I'm so happy. I'm going to take Wheel throwing level one next.

I've had the privilege to learn from several instructors with different styles and approaches. So far, all my experiences have been enjoyable. I would recommend Penguin Foot Pottery to anyone looking to experience fun while being creative. It's sad to see 7 negative posts coincidentally or conveniently posted within the same period of time, with an additional 8th post 2 weeks later for good measure. Small family businesses are not easy to sustain. Those that are capable and provide a solid service or product should be commended, not targeted. If you don't believe me, try them out for yourself.:-)
