I have been to Pioneer Theater before but, it has been several years. As a Mom who is a homemaker with 3 kids (all Special Needs), a husband who works for the US Government, money can be tight. I was lucky enough to be able to go to the "Carol King" show. Thank you Dad and Mom for the ticket. 😀 It was truly AMAZING with the music and story. Pretty crazy to think this is a true story. She started college at 16! The Pioneer Theater is always well taken care of, bathrooms are clean, ushers are super kind and helpful. Also, there seats are pretty good, one thing that is really nice is how much space between the aisles there are. WAY more than other theaters or concert halls. I will admit the tickets are pricey, $85 for this show. But, overall they are a good deal especially with a season package. If you can swing it I would HIGHLY recommend going to a show here.

We had a fantastic time at Pioneer Theater. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Osteria Amore on 1300 E and then we caught a showing of Jersey Boys. The convenience of being able to walk to the theater from the restaurant was a plus. The show was incredibly humorous and kept us thoroughly entertained. Despite the theater being on the smaller side, the seats were exceptionally comfortable and the aisles offered plenty of room. Every seat provided a perfect view, and the sound quality was top-notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our theater experience there and are definitely looking forward to returning in the future.

The Pioneer theater is a nice spot to see a live show. The theater itself is on the small side so you'd be hard pressed to find a bad seat. The theater is in the middle of the U of U campus so parking can be unpleasant as there isn't a dedicate lot for the theater. There were refreshments available in the lobby during intermission, but the lobby is pretty cramped with only a few chairs. The prices for the show we attended were pretty high for the quality of the venue and production which were average to slightly below average. I'd recommend this theater, but you can probably find better options if you look around. There are better quality theaters in and around Salt Lake for a lower price.

Very nice theater. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The seats are stadium style, but not staggered, so I had to lean to my side to look around the guy's head in front of me. We saw Elf - The Musical. I'll review that more indepth somewhere else, but it was a so-so play done by great actors.

ADA parking was full - as we were parking some distance away - a parking attendant pulled up (having seen our ADA placard) and told us there were closer spots they had blocked off to offer customers in our situation.
