Fantastic vegan option in the heart of Chicago, mostly Asian dishes, sometimes with a twist. Super tasty and simple, one of those places where they are not trying to reinvent the wheel, but to serve good food. There’s a lot of options, and you definitely should make room for dessert. Good date spot too, restaurant is pretty and big, with sidewalk tables too. Staff is helpful and friendly.

This place is amazing. It provides vegan fine dining. Brunch is really good, you can also pick anything from the menu. I highly recommend fried "chicken" mushroom, cauliflower wings, crispy broccoli, Korean chicken sandwich, waffles and french toast actually anything in the menu is worth trying. Try this place even if you're not vegan, they have an amazing bar too.

This place was so disappointing. We got the cauliflower wings, sweet potato hand roll, bao, unagi nigiri (eggplant), sake to me (drink), and ahi roll (watermelon). 1) Service. It took a while to come take our order. The unagi I ordered came out long before the unagi my partner ordered. 2) Old seaweed. I told them right away I have an avocado allergy and I asked for a certain roll but no avo. They told us that their sushi is pre-rolled and they can’t customize anything because it’s all prepared in advance and then covered. I thought surely just the ingredients are prepared in advance together or something (still massively terrible for a place with a large portion of the menu being sushi…) but when the rolls came out the seaweed was VERY rubbery and chewy. Tasted very old. Not at all appropriate to serve in a place that charges same prices as a sushi restaurant. The only time I’ve had seaweed this bad is grocery store sushi where it’s been sitting in a fridge all day. The rice also tasted very old. I don’t understand how sushi places can roll things on the spot but this place has stale rice and stale seaweed. Gross. I’m so, so sad about this experience. I came here for a celebration and we left absolutely shocked at how bad every part of the experience was. The service, the food (the biggest disappointment), the drink stained menu I was given, and the sticky table. I always want vegans and non vegans to be able to experience awesome vegan food but I will never take anyone here. This is why non vegans think all vegan food tastes bad. My advice: just go to a sushi place, a Korean restaurant, or any number of the decent fusion places in CHI. It’ll be far better.

My partner and I were celebrating our year anniversary so we decided to experience vegan sushi! We were not disappointed. Our server Tray was incredibly sweet and very informative of everything on the menu. He even brought out our dessert with a sparkler! What a magical night!

We recently went to Chicago for a 3 day weekend and we visited Planta 3 times. We absolutely loved the service, atmosphere, and excellent quality of food. The best thing was the torched and pressed roll and the steak and eggs brunch. We also loved their ramen and bang bang broccoli. Sarah was a great and attentive server and we happened to get her all 3 times we were there!
