I don’t even know where to start with how bad my experience at Porchlight Community Services was. First of all, the food they gave out was straight-up nasty—moldy bread, sour dairy, and cans so dusty and dented they looked like they were pulled from a dumpster. I made the mistake of eating something I got from there and ended up sick for days. It's honestly dangerous. On top of that, the staff was incredibly rude—especially Claudia. She acted like she was doing us some huge favor by being there and had the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered. If you ask a question or need help, she talks down to you like you're beneath her. It was humiliating and completely uncalled for. This place needs serious oversight. If you're going to serve struggling people, at least treat them with dignity and don’t poison them with rotten food. Avoid this place unless you have no other options—and even then, be careful.

Selection is okay; great concept. Found them through TooGoodToGo where they advertise a cart of items as $105 worth of grocery items for $35, but they select what items you receive. Much of the products are past their suggested expiry dates, but they are overall safe to consume if kept properly. You can book directly with them and reserve a time to select your own products. If if you miss your slot, they will not offer a make-up one.

If you are thinking of getting food from here please don't it's all expired and your better off getting food from dollar tree. All the food is moldy, expired, filthy, there is literal bugs inside the food. This place is horrible to volunteer in too especially if you have to take the heavy trash buckets of moldy junk! Please stay away.
