The carnival prices are downright insane. You need to pay $15 to get in the gate. Then, if you want to ride anything, you need to pay more. As of 2025, you get 40 tickets for $50. Most rides are 7 tickets. So for $50, two people can ride two rides. Then you'll have leftover tickets. May as well pop over to Oaks Park for the same rides and likely a cheaper price.

Impossible to afford the city fair for a family of 4. The $60 to pay just to get in turns into another $35 for a 3-minute Ferris wheel ride, and heaven forbid the kids want a $10 slushy (each) or to play a 30-second carnival game for $5 each. The stress of watching your hard earned money disappear into quick rides and mediocre food will stay with me for weeks. Save your money and stay away!

Light Parade as well as Rose Parade had enormous gaps between entries, lots of them, time after time. How hard is it to organize things better? Everybody's standing around, twiddling their thumbs, then when something finally comes by, people get excited, even by mediocre stuff, like "Wow, there's an actual thing there in the PARADE!" Boring.

We were at the festival. It seemed to be fun. Some attractions do not justify their cost. I think this event is quite expensive, but in any game you could win a small toy as a consolation prize. An adult entrance ticket is $15, and children under 6 years old are free. $115 for 250 tickets, 1 ride on the carousel of 12 tickets.

What do you expect? 13 tickets for rides, $20 for 32 tickets. Curly fries $13. It's a fair. The brew festival is going on too. I have never seen such a sad showing.
