I have wanted to find a creative outlet and decided to take a class at Pottery Northwest a year ago. The beginner wheel class offered all of the basic skills necessary for me to not only grasp the artform basics, but to also turn me in to an absolute addict. It wasn't just the class that hooked my but the community at large. The teachers are knowledgeable, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and the students/artists are all friendly and available to share their knowledge in support of every person's journey. I can see myself at Pottery Northwest for a long time!

Positively the best community Pottery in Seattle. Their facilities are top notch and they always are looking for better ways to reach out to communities that would otherwise be left without this available to them. The staff is super helpful and supportive of all the students and each other so you can really tell that they care. Being a non profit org are one of the few organizations that is always expanding services. They keep a rotation of top notch artists and instructors and they pay those instructors exceptionally well. Sudi, Becca, and Althea, in particular, are the best instructors I have ever met. The facility is one of the cleanest I’ve ever been in and there are always knowledgeable people to ask questions or have a pleasant conversation with. The equipment is extensive and the glazes are well maintained and interesting. Everyone there cares about the community and strives to make it an enjoyable and fruitful experience. Personally, their expertise and support has allowed me to take the step to become a better and more educated artist and has resulted in acceptance into a graduate program in ceramics. I would not have been able to achieve this at any other studio. Spectacular!
