Many trails to explore...I did it today on a mountain bike 🚵‍♂️, but trail runs here are definitely planned. 🏃‍♂️There are many single track opportunities if you plan well..mostly south side.. the north side of the area (just south of 303) is flatter, with wide trails..saw several people on motor bikes. There are plenty of lightly traveled trails in between the more defined ones. You might want to have a route planned on your Garmin to avoid getting too lost 😲

There's loads of trails surrounding this mountain! Take whichever you choose and scramble up the north slope. Get great views of the Bradshaws, Four Peaks, and Lake Pleasant.

We moved to the housing area right next to this in 2020 and we absolutely love it. Rich with Saguaro cactus, both common Cholla (Teddy Bear and the Staghorn), Golden Barrel and Red Barrel (purple?), Hedgehog Cactus, Palo Verde trees, Sage Bush and Creosote Bush and particularly uncommon, HUGE BOULDERS! It's like way up in north Scottsdale except that it's Phoenix. We walk our dog out there off-leash as we rarely encounter anyone super close to us. There are MTBers, moto riders, occasionally other walkers/hikers, etc. Everyone we encounter is nice and friendly. We always wave to everyone in advance of approaching. It's clear by all the empty shotgun shells, brass (rifle and handgun casings), broken glass, swiss-cheesed dishwashers and fridges, that people used to come up here before the housing developed (mid 2000s) as it once was WAY north Phoenix with nothing around. But those areas are infrequent and scattered and barely make any impact on the beauty of the area. After all, it's not a national preserve but sometimes still feels like one! Overall, it's amazing and we love it.
