I have never understood how we as a community could ever be excepting and tolerant of the mistreatment and humiliation that we witness being done unto others. I watched almost every single employee except for one treat this group of people like they were animals. This one young black female who used to work the register but now works the self checkout was kind and polite but always professional. If it wasn't for her I would never go back to such a racist store. PART 2: So like an idiot i went back to this store. Only this time i left balling my eyes out. To the point that i was crying so hard that i couldn't even see the way out. So i had gotten to the store around 11:37pm because im a single parent working 2 jobs as well as being enrolled in school full time, raising a daughter and a son. So i rushing thru the store trying to hurry up and get everything i needed for my household. I usually have my headphones on which i did this time. I didn't hear the announcement that they were not allowing people to purchase more than 15 items. I get to the register and start ringing my stuff up, when one of the managers comes up to me and tells me that i can't buy my food. Im looking at this man like he must be out of his mind. Because the last announcement said that if you have more than 15 items then you had to be at the register before 1am. Which i was!!!! He lets me ring my stuff up to then tell me that because my card had been demagnetized that he wasn't going to move it over to a different register. He then decides to argue with me, trying to humiliate me in front of everyone that was there telling me that "My mom was able to do it, and she did it within the correct time frame". Like how dare you speak to me in that manner. First that was like 40 years ago. An im pretty sure that she didn't work 2 jobs that were far apart from each other with no car. But even so you have no right to do this. He wouldn't let me pay for my stuff but in the same breathe he starts talking shit to me again about how long it's going to take him to put it all back. Like you are choosing to have it that way. I want my food, so i explain to him that all this time he is spending doing this,i could have paid for it by now and been gone. His final insult to me was just because we have a repore doesn't mean that i can do whatever i want. I have never felt so low,so embarrassed as a black woman and mother in my LIFE!!! I was spending over 200 dollars and this "man" refused to complete the purchase for the store. Especially seeing how so many of them are being closed down i would have thought that every dollar is highly important. I recommend that no one EVER come back to this store. There are only 3 people here that knows how to respect people. This is the caliber of the people that Kroger is choosing to interact with the public. So pretty much Kroger your telling the world that you are ok with the abusive power-trips from your staff. They reflect what your store is supposed to represent. For how i have been continually treated i will never give them another dollar. I will make sure my whole family does the same. Which is around 300 people here in Washington alone. Not to mention i am well connected to multiple non profits, people at city hall, the west precinct and multiple news stations. They all will know how people including myself are treated here an nothing is ever done about it. This store needs to be shut down FIRST. BROKEN HEARTED, EMBARRASSED AND DISAPPOINTED. Its time for a change NOW!!!N

I bought a chuck roast from this QFC. Not only did I notice it was wrapped twice, it looked like it had been dyed. This qfc is opening old meat, making it look fresh, repackaging it and selling it. Be careful, this is how food illness is spread. Protect your families! Will be reporting.

This store has gotten better lately (summer 2025) since (believe it or not) they've added guards who - like Walmart - check your receipt as you leave. In addition, since then they have fixed broken gates & they seem to keep their groceries better stocked. Also, I sense that most of their staff have better moods since the addition of the guards. Prior to this (when moved to the neighborhood October 2024 till Spring 2025) the staff were surly & rarely helpful. I am unsure if the employees feel safer with the guards or what, but if safety is the issue, we shoppers should feel safer, too. So, all in all, while I would have (and might have) written a complaining review previously, I have to say the store is much better now. The prices are too high, but I think blame for that can go to the idiot (Trump) currently in the White House &, possibly, his ill-conceived tariffs not to mention his hatred of all things Seattle & American.

I haven't been to this location in a long time because it used to feel unsafe and dirty, but I begrudgingly went to get groceries today because of the convenience of the location and color me surprised! There's a noticeable increase in security which has made the store noticeably cleaner and safer. No weird muddy smudges in the aisles, not strange piss smell in random areas, and everything was neatly stocked and faced. I'm thrilled this can be my go-to neighborhood grocery store again!

Nobody Special

I wonder if the reason for all the thefts are in any way linked to the gang of nodding off drug addicts always gathered out front? Probably just a coincidence. In side the store get harassed by security. Go outside get harassed by drug addicts. This location has only progressively become worse over the past ten years. It's time to just let the drug addicts have it. Admit they've won, and go elsewhere. Turn it into a shelter or something because no business can operate in that location any more. Of course maybe this would be different if the city had some type of public service that enforces laws, on the streets. We could give them special cars with loud sirens and maybe special uniforms to distinguish them from civilians. Then the city could place these public servants throughout the city to enforce the laws. We do still have laws, right?
