Love both pairs of comfortable walking sneakers that I got at Road Runner -- but pushy and predatory feeling sales tactics have twice given me bad taste in my mouth. Staff seem knowledgeable and helpful, but *strongly* dislike their corporate sneaky seeming sales tactics at checkout of trying to get me to sign up for paid membership - the first time, almost got me to sign up without knowing there's a fee! Not transparent, honest, respectful or up front. Just annoying and awkward. So I try not to go in there unless I really need shoes ;).

As a VIP Platinum customer, I always expect excellent service, but my recent experience at Road Runner in Green Lake was truly exceptional. I visited the store on Saturday to look at shoes for my parents, and the manager Jess was incredibly helpful, she recommended a team member who would assist us the next day. When we returned on Sunday, both team members provided top-level service. One of them did a full insole test for my father with great care and professionalism, while the other who happened to speak Spanish also offered outstanding service, making communication even easier for my parents. Both were equally attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. It was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had, absolutely a 10/10 and highly recommended!
