I live near the Rock Creek trail. My house is maybe one block away from the entrance to the Rock Creek trail. This has become almost a daily staple for us. Whenever the children need to step out and get some fresh air, we'll be on the Rock Creek trail. The trail itself is quite well maintained and there is no regular traffic on it. The place is very Serene, quiet, peaceful. It has gentle ups and provides good amount of stress if you want to run or do a brisk walk on the route. It is also very well connected to north south trails that we have further down the road. I take this trail almost everyday when I need to go to work or I need to drop off the kids to daycare

We love to walk and hang out by the lake.

A major east / west THPRD trail that follows an utility line and connects to other trails in the THPRD system. This trail was very busy when I used it on a Saturday. The trail connects a series of parks, some substantial and some less (more or less a wide spot in the trail). The signage on the trail is very good. Major road crossings are signaled. Their are wide bridges, picnic tables, water fountains, porta-potties and even a bike service station along the trail.

Gravel lot. Free parking. Paved trail. Unstable but relatively clean outhouse at lot. Walked to soccer fields. Saw 2 otter, 2 bald eagles and a variety of other birds.
