Got to say, this store is awesome!! The gal that helped me today was super knowledgeable, listened really well and made an awesome recommendation off of my quandary. I've always had an issue with running shoes not fitting quite right an now I need inserts for every day use. Based off this she had me go through a few pairs of shoes until we settled on a set of Asics Nimbus. Holy cow, not an hour later and I took these guys on a test run, doing 60/120s, and these things are like running on clouds! Running felt some much better and less painful, I've never had such a spring in my step. Also super snug too! Even with my inserts my heels didn't feel like they were going to pop out of the shoe. 5/5 Service there guys are awesome and have a great selection!

I walked into this store for the first time today because they are one of the places supplying race tees for the Denver Colfax marathon. I walked in, the person at the register who was helping someone else stepped away, and I asked for an associate and was pointed in the direction of a woman in the back. What happened next left me flabbergasted… I approached her with my phone in hand, and said, “I am registered for the Denver Colf—“ the associate then cut me off and said “Yeah what size??” I asked her if she was impatient, and she said no. Then I said, “But you didn’t even let me finish speaking,” and she got quiet. I asked for a size Medium, she went and got my shirt, I said thank you and walked out. I don’t know if customer service isn’t valued at Runners Roost because they expect people walking in to know everything and not waste their time, but this exchange solidified that I won’t be back, even if I do another race. Not sure what made this associate decide she could choose rudeness - maybe she’s having a bad day, maybe the race folks didn’t tell Runners Roost about the t-shirt promo, maybe they had just been robbed an hour before I walked in. I don’t know. But I do know what it means to be kind and polite, and I didn’t get that here.

Holly was incredibly nice and helpful even though I came in just before closing. I described what type of shoe I was looking for and my training plan, and Holly provided multiple options and listened carefully to my feedback. I ended going with a trail running shoe that fit perfectly and was on sale to boot. The rest of the staff was very friendly and offered good advice. I will definitely recommend this location to others and will be a repeat customer.
