They fit me in the wrong sized shoes and it caused injury. My doctor told me I need to go to a sports podiatrist to address the damage done. At the time of my initial purchase I had brought in the four pairs of running shoes I owned at the time (2 retired favorites and two fairly new pairs) so I could show them what I liked and disliked about different models. They pushed me to donate them, since I wouldn’t need them anymore with my new shoes in tow, so I had no shoes in reserve to run in when the new ones didn't fit. I do not fault the sales associate who helped me, because he was just a teenager, and very kind and intelligent. I believe the responsibility falls on training and management, not him as an individual. I missed the return window because I live a few hours away and do not drive. I contacted them to communicate this. However, if I had been fit properly in the first place, the return window wouldn’t have been an issue. When I reached out a month ago, I really just expected an apology for their negligence and some ownership for the failures in service. They made no efforts to take responsibility for fitting me in too small shoes, or take ownership for what could be reasonably expected of them as a specialty running shoe business, or acknowledge that my dissatisfaction was due to their failures, not just buyer’s remorse. Instead they talked up how amazing and wonderful their staff are. They did invite me to come to their store and get refit, and this seemed promising. I scheduled a visit to follow up in person, arranging a trip to Denver, hours of driving, and the person I was meant to meet with was not there. Nobody at the location knew I was coming. At this visit I was measured and told the shoes they had fit me in previously were too small, but no efforts were made onto their part to rectify that except encouraging me to by another pair in a half size up and another pair in a different model. After all this they offered me a gift card without specifying an amount or delivery method and then ghosted me for two weeks despite my following up. Finally after two weeks, they told me they were sorry my expectations weren't met, they'd done all they could do and were closing the case. I followed up with the owner directly and after several days he has not responded. I have not gotten a gift card, an apology, or any sort of resolution. To say this has been a disappointment would be an understatement, as I sit here icing my bruised and blistered feet, a massage gun to my poor hips that have suffered from my altered gait.

I love the store but today I went in to grab some new sunnies. I run ultras so I burn through running stuff and shop there a ton. I wanted a new race day outfit for Saturday but when I walked in with my 8 year old daughter, three dogs ran up to her, one growling and showing its teeth, which encouraged the other two dogs to do the same. I don’t care if the owner swears it’s nice. The “store dogs” shouldn’t be there if they aren’t social to all humans. My kid was holding my hand and jumped in my arms terrified. This store has lost my business.
