This nice new Safeway is understaffed, half of the products are locked up and require waiting for one of the understaffed crew to arrive to get it, and staff seem unmotivated to offer customer service in any timely manner. Don't even try to buy alchohol here during any time that may be busy.

Well stocked and beautiful! The renovations have done this Safeway justice, never have I been so impressed with a Safeway in my life. Truly a wonder to watch the opening of a long awaited full grocery store (Target doesn't count). I've often wished for a grocery store like this in UDistrict. The parking garage is convenient though a bit tight. I will be coming back regularly, cannot say enough good things about this Safeway. The layout of the store is a bit inconvenient but has everything you need while being compact and easy to maneuver. Can't wait to watch this store flourish.

Had to stand there a solid 5 minutes just to get a tube of toothpaste unlocked. I even hit the call button twice because I thought it was broken. Finally, a guy shows up, shoots me a death-stare, and sloooowly cracks the case open like I’m bothering him for daring to shop. Kinda creepy vibe. Safeway, can we please fix the service before this place turns into “Danger-way”?

This is honestly the worst place to shop. Every time I go, there’s a long line that wraps around the corner because only one or two registers are open. Meanwhile, three employees stand around chatting with each other or on their phones instead of helping customers and opening more registers. To make matters worse, I got E. coli from one of their hot food items. That’s not just bad service—that’s a serious health risk. I hate shopping here. Safeway needs to do better—clean up the food safety, train the staff, and take customer service seriously.
