Salsamania Saturdays is a great space to salsa dance in the city! Even though it’s mainly salsa, they do play some bachata-but salsa is my jam so I’m not complaining, haha! The performances are also nice to see, terrific dance teams giving it their all, and salsamania supports artist that want to express themselves in the dance scene. I will say that for anyone who dances, always be sure to know proper dance etiquette, for example; make sure you’re not hurting your partner when dancing with them, always be respectful, and when someone says “no” to a dance or anything, don’t take it personally, no means “no”. The dance studio I learned that teaches this (and this is also common sense) but I see some leaders in a lot of socials spread across the city who don’t know proper dance etiquette. As a leader myself I always make sure the person I’m dancing with is comfortable, and that they’re having a great time. We’re all paying to use the space, let’s follow the golden rule. In conclusion, Salsamania is a great place to dance, even if it’s your first time, come through, and if you’re an experienced dancer, you’ll definitely have a lot of fun dancing here.
