THIS IS FOR POLICY. After waiting in line for 10min, i was told, nicely, store policy is "we cannot sell anything without a price sticker on it." I mentioned there was an exact item (a vintage luggage bag; part of a 2-pc set), that had a price sticker of $7.99. WEDNESDAYS ARE HALF PRICE. I volunteered to get the other bag for reference. Also volunteered to PURCHASE the set of 2. Nope. Why This Hurts: I'd just donated $100 of shoes, before coming in to browse for a leather jacket not in their selections today. 😭 I should've left at that point. 😂 Anyways, my complaining is over. I'll still visit this place - now aware of a policy she said "is posted at the front of the store." I've included those photos. Didn't see said policy. Maybe she meant for the Employee entrance to the store?👀 Extra reading... I would've been out, maybe $15 max today... not a big deal. Recently learned that Neiman Marcus is vacating their original Downtown Dallas location after ~100 years. If this were a perfect world, Salvation Army or Goodwill would occupy that space. Either would probably struggle to keep inventory, as downtown residents would be in there like crazy! 😂 Besides Leasing\Real Estate costs, Armed security would probably be the most expensive necessity. No clothing store downtown, I've seen, has ever had more that 10 people in it at any given time. (Possibly except Neimans, but in the many times I've been in there - i like their Men's Fragrance selection and occasionally they have had some Robert Graham shirts i like, I've not seen more than 10 people, per department, on any of their floors.

I was in a very dark place in my life. This was my first time staying in a shelter and on top of that I was 2 months pregnant. 3 staff members here really touched me more than they'll ever realize. Thomasina, Shaquan and Ms. Cooper💜. They were so sweet and genuine with me. Shaquan would always make sure I was well fed and her kindness always brightened up my day. Ms. Cooper was so encouraging and she spoke positive words over my unborn child at the time, she's a wonderful woman of God. Thomasina was a natural sweetheart💜. This place played a significant role on my spiritual journey. The food was OK. The building was clean imo. It had its downs but overall it was better than sleeping outside.

I scheduled a pickup some weeks ago at our apartment. They called first thing this morning and the guys arrived within 30 minutes. We had a lot to donate but they were done in half an hour. I'd meant to tip them but when I called their HQ they said they weren't allowed to accept tips. This is a first class operation. I made a general cash donoation to them instead. They'll be my go to donation center.
