Disgusting. I saw the server bus tables then with his bare hands grab potato’s chips and put them on a tray with my sandwich without washing them. Super rude service. Read the other reviews about them. Really regret spending our money here when all the other places are so great. Since it has had new ownership this place has gone downhill. Never again. UPDATE: in response to business. Sounds like you have multiple unhappy customers. Shame on you for defending hostile and disgusting behaviors. Read other unhappy reviews it all seems to be about the same guy. request for time of day: Sunday midday. Server was blonde man with baseball hat on. When asked about his behavior, he responded with hostility and sarcasm ( as other reviews has stated similar experiences). Said "he could have been more aggressive" when asked if that is a good way to treat customers. I suspect he must be a family member or friend of owners since he was pretty arrogant and not concerned about recourse. For a place that prides itself on being "women owned" and "celebrating diversity" maybe you shouldn't have a man with anger issues working front of house.

Avoid at all costs after the change in ownership/ management. Extremely rude service and overall terrible customer experience, highly recommend getting beer or wine at any other of the great options next door. It ruined our time visiting Santa Cruz after completely out of nowhere rude behavior, we used to love this coming to this place and will never return. Rancid vibes, unfortunately.

Great option for lunch! Was so excited for the banh mi but slightly let down it had parsley instead of cilantro. I guess the menu does say “herbs” but jalapeños were absent. Would be 5 stars if it had the cilantro, jalapeños, and more pickled daikon and carrot and aioli as it was a bit dry to match the bread. I’ll try to pork next time but it was sold out. Definitely want a decent banh mi in this town! Update!! Had pork banh mi January 2024. Contains one small slice of pork the size of slice of bacon for $15. The bread was way more fresh and more aioli and pickled veggies packed a punch. Still no jalapeño. Still looking for a truly amazing banh mi that seem to be so inexpensive and commonplace in other towns.

The beer was pretty good. A nice outdoor seating area that is super dog friendly. The food options aren’t all that great, given the limited kitchen. We got a couple of pretzels, which were okay.
