It’s a big farm with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables! We got pears 🍐, corn 🌽, and yellow raspberry! We love the yellow raspberry, taste so good, less tart than red raspberry. The corn field is beautiful! Fruits are sweet. Just the blackberries lane look like they need some work to make it nice and clear!

my partner and i weren't able to visit this farm together, but i did attend with a friend and another couple, the ones who introduced us to this farm. it was my first time to sauvie island, but not my first time getting to pick my own fruits and herbs at a farm. consider me well conditioned for that sort of experience. after making our way west over the river and north to the island, we started with the herb garden. as luck would have it, i was doing a lot of home cooking at the time, so herbs had become a necessary component of my kitchen, as well as many of the dishes i prepared. i recall getting thyme, mint and rosemary. if you have never picked fresh from a farm, you'll be pleasantly surprised to know the herbs i picked were so similar to what you might buy at a grocery, it would make you wander why you made the trek out here. having said that, i then went on to pick from their array of raspberries. to my surprise, there were many rows to choose from and i regretted picking so many from the initial crop. they weighed out my harvest and implied i was to provide some kind of tangible, or non-tangible monetary sum to finalize the whole experience. i ate several cherries in the backseat of the couple's subaru on the way back southeast to the greater portland area.

amazing fun, especially with young kids! fruit is absolutely delicious. a store could never compare, the prices are so worth it. lots of different types of berries and flowers, blueberries are my favorite to pick. definitely an activity to do annually. maybe go earlier in the day to avoid the heat ;)
