What a great idea and great store. So great for the involvement! Friendly staff. Lots of interesting and unique things and supplies for the creative mind. Surprisingly well organized into general categories, items, and colors. Space rental for classes and groups or parties.

I was treated with intense hatefulness and exclusion upon entry to the store. I had no other business but to pay for the admission for two children to attend and purchase a seat for myself at an art class, however I was attacked and questioned with such anger as though we absolutely did not belong there. An employee accused me of not paying and berated me in front of other customers. Perhaps if we were Caucasian we would have been spared the interrogation and treated with more dignity.

This place remains one of my favorites! I had birthday parties with them as a kid and now love chatting with folks while donating my excess crafts - love SCRAP!

Nonprofit artistic reuse center! Whatever you might want - records, colored pencils, stamps, plastic gems, fabric, picture frames, paper - they have everything and more. They just opened up a classroom for drop-in crafting, which looks pretty cool.

NEW LOCATION ! (As of November 9th 2019). They are no longer down by Costco but over on Washtenaw Ave right next to Once Upon A Child. This is a genius move! I am always stopping into the kids clothing store for things and here is another perfect stop for craft supplies, busy board making, hot glue gun projects, sewing supplies, sensory bins with little treasures, bits of this and bits of that...Go check it out!
