On this day, we came together for WSLC COPE at a great destination, the machinist hall. Unfortunately, Boeing decided to lock out their firefighters at the same time we were meeting during during our lunch break, We caravan over there to support them because when we fight, we win this is a great place to hold such events. There’s a lot of history in this hall as you could see in the photos below our next governor Bob Ferguson stopped by to say hello along with the president of the IAM751 Jon Bolden to give us an update on the current strike in the future negotiations with Boeing that will be coming up in September. We were also able to speak with the two front runners for the attorney general Nick Brown, Manka Dhingra. The Boeing Union Machinist Hall located in the area of Seattle known as South Park. The hall host meetings and runs the affairs of the Boeing Machinist Union. The hall also offers conference rooms to rent. The rooms are set up prior to your arrival. The hall has a variety of sizes of rooms, depending on the size of your group. I regularly attend construction safety meetings with the Puget Sound Safety Summit. The meetings are sponsored by Approach Management. The meetings are free and are a great place to network with fellow Safety Professionals. The meetings are held once a month on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, except in July. The annual golf tournament is held in July.
