Fun to build with sand, fun to watch animals and people, but have to be careful. Water shoes are a must. Easy to find, the walking dirt path using Google directions. The trash and recycling receptacles are at the beginning of the trail, people tend to dump their trash closed by. The trail can be muddy, tree limbs can be a trip hazard. There are some sand with leeches and rocky, uneven, pathways. There are lots of green algae that can make you trip. Wear swim pants to make you feel safe. There are plenty of shade. The water can be warm to cool. There’s very little area to put stuff down that can stay dry. No changing area. Furry family members ( dogs,) are part of the area.

Easy to find! When you park, park by the ball courts and there will be signs on places to go. It will say “You’re here”. Take a right and keep going then take another right and go down the trail to the right again and follow it down and continue looking towards the right (repetitive, I know!) and you will see this. It’s crystal clear!!! The current is very strong! The water will rise and lower. It’s not a sudden change. When it’s low you can walk way out in the middle and it’s below your knees (for me 6’1, to my upper ankles). But when it’s right the current is definitely strong. WEAR SWIM SHOES. Not necessary but definitely helpful. Explore the trails and let the current take you up stream and get up on the bank and walk by down and do it all over again lol. We were the only ones there and it was a Thursday. Then about 30 camp kids come (5-9 years old) and about 10 more adults. But I would definitely give it a try you all! It’s gorgeous. Oh and the water is FREEZING

An awesome place to swim and hang out with family and friends. 👍 But one of the bad things is people need to learn how to gather up their trash when they are done and dispose of it properly. There's a trash can at the top of the hill people!!! start using it.

If you can overlook the crowd, the shore cleanliness and rough aspect of the beach, it's actually a great spot to cool off for a little bit. The water is shallow, clean and cool. Best to visit at non peak times. It's not a secret anymore, so we need more spots like this.
