Roniq has a very keen eye (and ear!) for birding, and was often pointing out birds, plants, and other wildlife I would have otherwise missed. Our time with Roniq passed quickly, as it was so exciting. And yet, it was also incredibly grounding and peaceful to bird with her. She has a sense of calm that you don’t come across often, and she brought that into the natural area we visited, meeting nature in its blistery state. I feel more equipped to identify the species we saw after our trip. Roniq pointed out interesting and notable elements of birds’ beaks, feathers, sounds, behaviors, and more. We had great conversations about where birding has come from and is going to go, and how we can support birding and native bird populations. Additionally, Roniq gave us recommendations of birding spots, literature, groups, and other resources. We are so excited to join Roniq for another birding outing in the future. I have now birded with Roniq four times, and each time has been an excellent experience for me, and those of my party. I think she does particularly well with inexperienced birders, or those new to birding. For example, she held the interest and fascinated my two young grandchildren, then 8 and 11, for nearly two hours. Each time I've learned so much from her about the keys to identifying species of birds, as well as their behavior. However, experienced birder will also benefit from her knowledge.

Loved our birding time with Roniq so much! I received a very kind gift certificate for a tour with her & can't say enough good things! She is incredibly knowledgeable about all of the local species and their habitats, and made it such a fun, educational & interactive experience. Not only does she help you identify the birds by sight, but by their flight patterns, sounds and silhouettes. She was able to point out 32 different species for us in about a 2 hour span! Just amazing! She kindly provided binoculars as I could not locate mine, and those were fantastic to help me see all the intricate details in some of the ducks & other birds. Roniq is an inspiring educator that made the day feel peaceful, inspiring & fun all at once. I am very grateful for the experience and highly recommend sharing this with others. She also does a great job giving tours for those with accessibility needs, which warms my heart. My grandfather would have loved this!
