Beautiful place to go day or night. Two parking lots, the bigger one has a bathroom. Lots of benches and open grass areas to sit. Filled with nature (eagles, woodpecker, frogs, deer and ducks, fire flies). The loop around the lake is 2.2 miles paved trail with some hills.

One of my favorite lakes in Raleigh. The trail around the lake is under 2 miles and good for a nice walk. Not a lot of elevation change. The area is generally very clean as well.

This is truly great place to walk and also play games. We were lucky to have spotted many dears during our stroll, probably cause it was cold and little drizzle. We also spotted Eagle or may be a hawk not too sure. All in all good place with walking tracks and a bridge over looking lake. More about the lake you can see in my vlog on youtube, following is the link. In addition you can see Lynn Lake as well in there. https://youtu.be/5fu7rIJISGM

Once a month no matter the weather this is one of my favorite places in wake county. Reminds me of where I grew up and I can chill walk the lake in less than an hour. Minimal road noise just peaceful outside

A solid spot for photographers in the area. You can catch quite a few different types of wildlife life here on a typical day. The lake has a 2 mile loop that leads you back to where you parked. There are a lot of regulars who come to the lake. The lake also has pull up bars for people into calisthenics.
