Long time martial artist here. I've been at this location for 3 years now and I'm currently a first degree black belt in this system. I have to say this is the most fun I've had doing a martial art. (I've trained quite a few) It's traditional chinese shaolin kung fu and the focus seems to be cultivating ones self both mind and body to simply make life better. You can learn to defend yourself, fight, exercise, meditate, and make yourself a stronger person. It has taught me many lessons in both martial arts and life. Instructors and students are always awesome people. Everyone helps everyone and both lower belts and upper belts grow together. We tend to refer to each other as "My kung fu family" which I think is quite telling of the community. Awesome school, highly recommended.

We wanted our 5 year old boy to start an activity and thought about Kung Fu (because another parent recommended it to us). So we went to Austin Shaolin-Do Kung Fu South. We had a nice and warm welcome and our son was invited immediately to join the beginner class for kids. Parents are also welcome to join so they can participate and show their kids how to have fun. 2 months later our son is having a blast doing his Kung Fu. He is totally excited about learning more about kicks and moves, thanks to his great teacher Paul. We highly recommend the school.

My daughter is challenged and supported here. I am happy with her progress on her martial arts journey. The teachers know how to meet the kids where they are at and adjust difficulty accordingly.
