Stopped into this Specs location recently and walked out feeling completely disrespected and appalled at the lack of professionalism. First off, I was greeted—or more accurately, not greeted—by someone named Austin M., who looked like he just rolled out of bed and into some busted Jordans that hadn’t seen a wash since 2015. Not a great first impression for a customer-facing employee at all. Then came Jackie, who saw clearly I’m a senior citizen and still asked to “identify” me like I was trying to sneak into a nightclub. Fine, I obliged. But what followed was flat-out insulting. She continued to butcher my name multiple times even after I corrected her. I’m talking wrong letters, wrong pronunciation, and zero effort to get it right. At one point, it almost felt intentional—as if mispronouncing my name was some kind of joke. This isn’t just bad service. It’s lazy, disrespectful, and borderline ageist. If your employees can’t be bothered to clean up, treat customers with dignity, or even pronounce a basic name correctly, then you don’t deserve my business—or anyone else’s. Take your money, your dignity, and your time anywhere but here
