FYI the restroom doors facing the waterfront are locked to the public. Continue walking north toward the next structure. Those restrooms are open for the public.

First off, the location. Feet away from Lake Washington. Free, abundant parking. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Several dance class options for all ages. Reasonably priced classes. There is a wide range of personalities and styles amongst the instructors however that is what makes this local dance theatre unique. No frills. Just wide open spaces for kids and adults to dance and express themselves!

I go there and it is so good! The teachers are so nice and they have so many different styles of dance, that you can learn. I’ve been going there for six years now and the people are so nice and the teachers are really helpful if you don’t know how to do something I 100% recommended it!

An institution in Seattle for as long as I've lived here. I've known a whole generation of dancers who owe those interest and love of dance to this institution. Their community is deep and wide spread in the Seattle area and they have garnered the respect they deserve. Their community outreach had had a profound effect on both of my daughters.

Top notch dance with TRUE integrity, honesty, and cause for self reflection; which is why the company's work often time is met with discomfort. No one leaves the theater after one of these performances feeling nothing. Discussion usually follows long after the show is done. The technical prowess of all of Donald Byrd's dancers at SDT can rival any high profile contemporary company out there.
