Stumbled upon this hidden gem while searching for local dog friendly parks. We were one of maybe 4 people there, as it seems to be in need of a little tlc. Still a beautiful nature trail full of trees, greenery, and lots of shade

This is a small but nice park. The trails are gentle as you wander through, with small wooden bridges throughout the park. There a playground for children at the entrance, and scattered throughout are some workout pieces. There's almost no parking, just a little gravel patch at the end of the road. At first I thought I was in the wrong place, but after driving around that's the only spot I found.

This is a nice little park but it is close to a factory that is discharging carcinogens into the air. You might have heard on the news about Sterigenics which is across the Chattahoochee from here.

What should visitors know about Spink Collins Park’s amenities and logistics?
Visitors planning group gatherings at Spink Collins Park should be aware of a few logistical considerations to ensure a smooth experience. The park does not offer dedicated parking lots or restroom facilities, so guests will need to rely on street parking in the surrounding neighborhood and plan accordingly for restroom access before arrival. There are no water fountains on site, which means groups should bring their own beverages and stay hydrated, especially during warm weather. The playground and picnic areas are heavily shaded by mature trees, making them comfortable even on hot days, but visitors should expect natural ground surfaces like wood chips near the playground and natural wooded trails. Reservations are not available, so meetups work best with flexible planning and early arrival for picnic table use during busier times. Despite these limitations, the park’s peaceful ambiance, clean and maintained trails, and fitness-friendly facilities compensate, creating a welcoming atmosphere for groups to enjoy a variety of activities in nature.

This combination of nature, history, and thoughtful infrastructure cultivates a park atmosphere that feels both intimate and enriching, encouraging visitors to explore and connect. The park’s quiet, lesser-known status helps groups avoid the crowds and noise often experienced at popular venues, enhancing the quality of social interactions and relaxation.
