What a popular spot - for such a great reason too - this place is legit! Split single scoop in a vegan waffle cone. Flavors: strawberry oat crumble and mango sticky rice. Both flavors vegan as well. While everything was excellent, the strawberry oat crumble was by far my favorite. Next time I visit, I'll just order that in a cup. No extras needed. Was totally worth the wait. Appreciated the staff's efforts to create a pleasant experience for each person while also managing the large line.

My wife went for the vanilla and chocolate. Now, on the surface, this may seem like a safe play, but it was a shrewd calculation on her part meant to judge the true quality of Stella's methods and execution. My spouse's approval really made the night saving me from rebuke and ridicule. The trifecta of sweetness was in hear words "very natural" I concur with that and add that the baklava cheesecake was sensational. Be back when we back.

So , my wife and I are in San Diego for a quick weekend. We went out with some friends for dinner and felt like doing ice cream. We went to Anne's which is supposed to be the best ice cream in the US, but the long line turned us away. Read on a few reddit threads that Stella Jean is actually better so went over there. The line was not too long and we were in within 15 mins The Ube Pandesal and the mango and sticky rice were highly recommended so I took the split single with these 2 flavors without even trying them out. Uber Pandesal - 10/10. I've never had anything like this before . It was a new flavor profile for me and my pallet gleefully accepted it. I could taste notes of cake, waffles, toffee, buttery and crunchy. The color was also interesting. Mango with sticky rice - 2/10. Oh what a disappointment. I could only take the mango, and not the sticky rice so this is nothing like the Thai dessert we're used to. Additionally the mango sorbet has far too many ice clunks making the experience really poor. I was surprised to see so many reviews raving about this flavor. Perhaps I just got the short end of the stick.
