We went to the SMU tennis complex for the first Dallas open ATP 250 tennis tournament. This was a fairly good experience for an inaugural event. Parking is a little difficult because the SMU area is very congested. We had to go to a main parking center and then were directed to another parking lot about 5 minutes away on the other side of Central expressway. We were then shuttled by bus back to the tennis complex. Shuttle buses took quite a while to show up. The venue itself is rather small but is of good quality. It probably seats around 2,000 people. Because of the limited size there really isn't a bad seat in the place. Food and drink were rather expensive and very limited options. Most people had drinks but not many had snacks or other food items. This may be one area that they can improve on if they decide to do this event again. For an ATP 250 event in February indoors, I would say that this was quite good, for a first time event.

Not sure where the official parking is located. We parked on the street in the neighborhood surrounding it. Watched an indoor tennis tournament. Decent amount of seating but even in the winter it was downright balmy about an hour in.
