Summer House Santa Monica is the best restaurant I have ever been to! Summer House provides a very pleasant atmosphere. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed with beautiful decor and I was immediately escorted to my table. The waiter that I had was very kind and helpful. I ordered the strawberry fields zero proof and it was very good. I ordered the Parmesan truffle fries and edamame for my appetizer. For my entree I ordered the rigatoni with red sauce and it was absolutely amazing. It is very fun to have a cookie bar with tons of options. I ordered the birthday cake cookie with ice cream and it was delicious! Overall, Summer House is the best restaurant in Chicago and I would highly recommend coming here.

Honestly, it was okay and underwhelming. Went for an early Saturday dinner only to be disappointed by the service and food. Things started off well, but went down hill beginning with our service. Once our server took our order we never really saw them again. No drink refills, no water refills, and paid more attention to the 5 top and extremely drunk and loud three top. The busboy was more attentive to our needs than our server….. Our apps were good but entrees were severely under seasoned and cold. Beautiful restaurant, okay food and poor service. First visit and such a cute place with a fun vibe! Service was great and the food was very good too. My daughter brought me here because she loves this place and I can see why. She ordered the Brussel sprout salad and I ordered the salmon. Both awesome! I definitely recommend this place for entertaining or if you just want great food. They have cookies you can buy in a dessert case at the entrance that look as good as they taste!

Our waitress was an absolute gem — genuinely sweet and so accommodating, which made the entire experience even more memorable. The guacamole was perfectly seasoned and so fresh, and the jalapeño cornbread? A must. Sweet with a little kick — seriously addicting. The crab cakes were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. And don’t even think about leaving without grabbing one of the giant cookies at the entrance — warm, soft, and totally shareable (or not, we won’t judge). It was such a fun, flavorful, and joy-filled dining experience. I left feeling full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an escape right in the heart of Chicago!

Recommended! This is the scene for people watching! Make a reservation. We enjoyed Friday happy hour here in the best booth in the back. The place was packed, has a decent happy hour menu (the canned beer is terrible), and the regular menu features a nice variety. As expected, the place is loud. Loved the airy space, the natural light in the main dining space, and the plants. Staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Also, frose! Have fun!
