We ordered the Portland Special rolls. They were prepared quickly. We crossed the street to eat them on a bench. The Wasabi and ginger were generous. Only 1 soy sauce packet. The rolls had a hint of sweet, and were creamy. They were decent rolls for $13. Nothing knocked my socks off... decent sushi for a decent price.

I ordered some sushi for delivery this evening through DoorDash. The miso soup that I ordered has a tight lid but has two holes at the top lid and is not waterproof. It is made of some type of cardboard that is not immune to getting soaked through. The restaurant does not add any additional ceiling to prevent leaking if the soup were to not remain upright. Because of this and stacking items in my order, of course the miso soup did go sideways and because it is in a sealed bag, they deliver driver has no idea that this is happening. The cardboard package that the sushi comes in is also not waterproof so due to the miso soup pooling in the plastic bag my sushi was sitting in miso soup and soaking through and getting wet with soup. The sushi itself was tasty. I did enjoy the rock ‘n’ roll roll. I was disappointed by the salmon belly because all I could taste was green onion. For some reason, there’s a garnish of red onion on the salmon belly Nigiri and you could taste nothing else. The onion is overpowering. Fish is a subtle flavor. I’m confused why there would be onion on top order was ready promptly. I ordered via the restaurants preferred website which charges a seven dollar delivery fee, but DoorDash also adds money to each menu item making them cost more so I’m hoping ordering through the other website ultimately gets the restaurant more money, but then DoorDash did deliver it so I’m not sure how that works. I’ve had this spot added to my favorites list for a long time, but haven’t ordered from here in probably a couple years. Maybe it’s just better to eat in person but quality overall good for the price.

Hands down my favorite sushi spot in Portland. I was skeptical at first moving from socal and only having sushi 🍣 at restaurant establishments but Angel (owner), changed my life. I’m a regular now. For anyone wanting to try something new in portland I suggest this place highly. Thank you ANGEL for making sushi so accessible and delicious. I suggest trying…. *ANGEL SPECIAL as your first roll.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The rice is so good, the avocado is fresh, the miso soup is delightful, and it’s all SO CHEAP! :) I literally get dinner for like $6.50 here, you could never find that anywhere. Also most sushi places are like this, but there are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options ❤️

My family and I were visiting from Eugene for an event and stopped here for dinner and could NOT be happier with our choice! The baked muscles are the best I’ve ever had (and I’m a seafood fanatic!). We got the Baked Salmon roll and the Special Portland Roll also, and pot stickers. Their sushi is better than any place here in Eugene. The man working at the cart was very kind and polite. I will certainly go out of my way to come here again next time I’m in Portland. 10/10
