What an awesome sushi experience and atmosphere! We were the last group of people to arrive at the restaurant, and yet they welcomed us in. The waitstaff were very friendly and recommended excellent dishes. We pretty much ordered half of the menu and were not disappointed with a single item. We could taste how fresh everything was. We also learned that the soy sauce was HOMEMADE! — that truly added a special touch to the amazing sushi. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to others, especially since there aren’t many sushi spots in the area.

Cute date night spot for sushi and drinks. Our food is fresh and delicious, fresh wasabi. We walked in on a Tuesday night 6ish for dinner. We ordered from a soft menu, looking forward to come back again for the full menu which seems to have a lot of vegetarian rolls!

Sushi Taiyo had their soft opening today, the food is a solid 5/5 – super fresh and high-quality, honestly better than some of the more well-known sushi spots in Seattle. Service-wise, you could really feel how hard everyone was working. The waitresses, waiter, hostess, and chefs were all incredibly sweet and attentive, they were checking in often, refilling waters, and genuinely making sure we were doing okay. Even though there were some delays (totally expected for a soft opening), the staff’s warmth and gratitude made the experience really lovely. It looked like there were only one or two chefs handling all the orders while the entire restaurant was packed- like all of the tables had customers seated. And they were doing an amazing job under pressure. You can tell this place has so much potential and heart, and I’m really excited to come back once things are fully up and running.

Went here on their soft opening week, and had a wonderful time. This place has great sushi for a great price! I can tell they source their fish well because of how fresh it tasted. We had the delightful roll and the emperor roll, and both were really delish. Also had the chutoro nigiri and it was very good and fresh. The place was nice and bright, good ambuance. Service was great and friendly. When we came there were a few people but the service was pretty fast. Will definitely come back here again!
