Love to come &ere since my teens were small kids. A fun simple playground with a little 'zip line- (an especial fave for my youngest), swings, little structure and a boat, as well as those spring ride on and a little sand pit. Nearby is a creek, and s9me lovely walking paths, picnic tables, benches, and even a tennis/pickleball court.

Nice park with two parts separated by a path up a hill and through some trees. One side is set up for picnics and the other has a tennis court and a playground for small children. It is close to a highway so it's not quiet, but it's pleasant nonetheless. There is a small stream through the park that I had not noticed before and woods on one side and one end of the main area which is grassy. There is plenty if area for both shade and sun due to it being a mostly open grassy area that's partially surrounded by trees.

Peaceful park, not very busy

I grew up in the neighborhood so I've seen all yhe improvements the city has made to the park and it's surrounding areas. Namely the benches up on the hill next to bbq grills if needed are a major plus. That's just one of many great things about Sylvan park. The new Tennis Court is amazing by the way. Definitely a must visit.

The park has no lake or creek as shown in the pictures. The pictures don't belong to this park. It is so misleading. Just a shaded area with some benches. I could spot deer that was the only consolation. Otherwise disappointed if you go on seeing the pictures in Google. It's nothing like shown in the Google pictures
