We accidentally find this place for our parents that they want to have Chinese food for dinner. So we tried their food prior to dinner and surprisingly authentic. Service was wonderful. We were there for their Happy Hour drinks 🍸. Tried many different dishes as well. We all gave our 👍🏼.

my partner and I came in an hour before closing, exhausted and defeated from our concert getting cancelled we traveled 4 hours for. even though they closed in an hour, all the girls talked with us, were happy to take our food and drink orders so close to closing and made us feel at home. we also met two other patrons who survived the same concert cancelation. i didn't want to go downstairs to get a drink here. I wanted to stay in my room and mope. but I'm glad I did, I met so many wonderful people and had a great time in an otherwise awful day ❤️ (this egg drop soup boosted my serotonin levels)

Upscale Asian restaurant located conveniently next door to the Marriott Biscayne Bay in a small indoor shopping mall. If you’re staying at the Marriott, you don’t even need to go outdoors to access the mall area and get to the restaurant. Tanka it’s very upscale and attractive inside, the people that work there are very professional and welcoming and the food is delicious. Also conveniently, they’re open late, so it’s possible to get dinner if you’re arriving to one of the nearby hotels late or you want to eat after a Heat game. The restaurant is so good that we ate there two nights in a row, which say a lot because there are so many good options in the area, but with their variety of dishes, you can eat sushi one night and tie the next and feel like you’re at a completely different restaurant. Sol was our waitress the second night and she was very knowledgeable about the different dishes on the menu, but I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the fabulous people that work there.

Really enjoyed my experience. Sat at the bar. The bartender was very attentive. I came on a Thursday around 7 PM. It was happy hour which meant all their signature cocktails were half off. I had a pink and black margarita. It was quite tasty. I also ordered the takoyaki and the shrimp pad Thai. The pad Thai came out before the appetizer but I didn’t mind. Both were tasty. The environment was very relaxing as well.

NOW… Where do I start… First Off…. As a Miami native, Trust me on this one: If you’re looking for AUTHENTIC-REAL-(NOT superficial) Asian Food; Tanka Restaurant is where you absolutely MUST GO TO. Second of all: Tanka’s food and ingredients is shipped DIRECTLY from Sichuan China (you will taste those authentic ingredients in your food when you eat at Tanka). The Asian food in Downtown Miami & Brickell is Super OVERRATED and SUPER-OVERPRICED. However, THIS RESTAURANT TANKA IS ABSOLUTELY NOT. The prices are very similar to any normal gourmet Asian restaurant, you won’t be disappointed as you would if you went to those tourist traps in Miami. Lastly, VERY SANITARY. Beautiful CLEAN KITCHEN & Restroom. You can see the chefs (WHOM ARE ACTUALLY ASIAN) cooking the food with this beautiful glass view overlooking the dining area. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT HUTONG or Komodo. You will be disappointed and ripped off.
