I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Steven from the returns department for his exceptional kindness and professionalism. Despite my mistake in misplacing the receipt, he was incredibly understanding and helped me exchange the curtains that didn’t fit. His friendly attitude and willingness to assist made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. In fact, every staff member I interacted with was equally friendly and helpful. Their warm service and genuine care turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a truly positive experience. It was a perfect shopping experience from start to finish, and I’m very grateful!

The staff are great. They are always super helpful and friendly, there’s a few cashiers I actually look forward to chatting with every time I come here. However, I sure wish there were more of them - this location is constantly understaffed. I personally don’t like going through self-checkout - usually there’s only 1-2 registers open, so I’ll wait in line for some time, not the end of the world but very inconvenient. However today, there were literally no registers open. I checked on both floors. Self checkout only, long lines, card only (the self checkouts no longer accept cash). It was very disappointing. I would encourage corporate to consider the impact this has on the customer experience - while this may save on labor costs, Target isn’t exactly the cheapest option in town. The customer experience used to be what made Target standout. However now with extreme understaffing, products locked up behind glass, and weird politics from the CEO, it’s hard to justify shopping there. If I’m in a hurry I’ll go somewhere faster. If I need a big haul, I’ll go somewhere cheaper. It’s just not worth it. Really hoping to see this location turn around as the staff is great, location is super convenient, and it is a relatively clean and organized store.

Target Doesn't Seem to Care The below post was originally around March 25th, 2025. Well it happened again. Again, none of the parking garage elevators at the Northgate Target were working this morning. I turned around and went to QFC for my groceries. None of the parking garage elevators at the Northgate Target were working this morning. Unlike most Targets, this store is in the top two floors in a building attached to a 7 level parking garage. Not on ground level. Their business is dependent on the parking garage and the bay of four elevators between the store and the parking garage. The parking garage and these elevators are maintained by Kite Property Management. The maintenance of the elevators are not directly the responsibility of the Target store. So why complain about Target? Because from my experience it appears that Kite only keeps one or two of the four elevators working at any one time. I have not see either of the two elevators in the south part of the elevator bay working in the last month or so. Why would a company, Kite, invest in establishing this infrastructure, the elevators particularly, and then only maintain it minimally? And why would Target pay what I suspect is tens of thousands of dollars of lease per month and allow the property company to so poorly maintain these elevators that their business is so dependent on? It tells me how little Target cares about their customers experience and for that matter doesn't seem to care enough about the success this store to hold their leasing company to account. For the record, when the elevators were not working previously, I made a point of speaking to a Target manager. I got the answer they they were not responsible for the elevators, the property company was. I did pointed out their business is dependent on those elevators. I think I got a shrug. And in full disclosure, I passed through the building later in the day and the elevators, or at least one, was working. But I'm sure they repaired only one, maybe two of the four elevators. Don't bet on them being available when you next come there. Here's a picture of the groceries that I had to cart all the way down the parking garage.

I felt like Alice in Wonderland once I’m here. They have lots of stuff that I rarely see at other locations. Or other locations ran out items quick. Again, Target is always my choice for shopping. They have affordable price items.Returning process happens fast, no complication, nice polite staff, clean and organised!

The last three times I shopped at the store I've had problems with employees being very rude and condescending, not willing to really listen to my question or hear my concern about incorrect pricing. Customer Service/ Return Desk was very unhelpful. Before it was a great place to shop, now I don't plan to go back.

Why is Target perfect for hosting group meetups beyond shopping?
Target's appeal extends far beyond just being a retail store, making it an excellent backdrop for various types of group meetups. One reason is its spacious and accessible design that comfortably accommodates groups, including families with children. Wide aisles and clear signage make it easy to navigate together or split up and compare notes, striking a good balance between personal freedom and group engagement. For families, this is particularly valuable as kids can explore toy sections while adults shop nearby, allowing for shared experiences that still respect everyone’s space.
Target's central location in many communities often puts it next to other complementary venues like parks, movie theaters, or restaurants, making it an excellent starting point for more extensive outings. Groups can meet at Target for initial shopping or gathering and then easily proceed to nearby locations for meals, entertainment, or outdoor activities. Besides physical meetups, Target’s growing online presence and same-day pickup options provide flexibility for groups planning activities around shared errands or gifts, making it easier to coordinate and contribute to collective plans. This blending of convenience, variety, and community connectivity positions Target as a smart choice for casual meetups as well as more organized group events.
How can Target’s community and event features enhance group meetups?
Target is increasingly involved in community engagement and occasionally hosts events that can serve as excellent group activities. While primarily a retail space, certain Target stores promote local initiatives or seasonal celebrations that encourage community members to gather and participate. These can range from charity drives and petition campaigns to holiday-themed celebrations, where groups rally around common causes or simply enjoy themed promotions together. For example, groups passionate about social or environmental issues have used Target as a rallying point to organize petitions or awareness events, turning a simple trip to the store into a meaningful community action.
Moreover, Target frequently collaborates with local brands and designers to introduce limited-time offerings and in-store experiences that add an exclusive element to visiting. These events can provide unique photo ops, giveaways, or interactive displays that appeal to groups looking for novel ways to spend time together. Even without formal events, the store’s atmosphere during sales and holiday seasons creates a festive backdrop that can make meetups feel special. Additionally, Target’s integration of digital tools, such as apps for group shopping lists or personalized deals, enhances how friends coordinate trips and share the experience, making meetups more interactive and rewarding.
What makes Target a convenient and comfortable spot for families and friend groups?
Target’s commitment to customer convenience and comfort plays a big role in why it’s ideal for group gatherings, especially for families. Many Target stores offer easy parking, ample restroom facilities, and stroller-friendly aisles, which alleviate common stressors when visiting with children or large groups. Its climate-controlled environment ensures a comfortable visit regardless of season or weather. For families with toddlers or older adults, these details make a significant difference in making a group outing pleasant rather than taxing.
Inside, Target’s product variety caters to all age groups, from baby supplies and toys to teen fashion and home essentials, ensuring everyone has something relevant and interesting. The availability of quick snack options within or near the store means groups can grab refreshments without eliminating the momentum or requiring long breaks. Plus, Target’s return and exchange policies are straightforward, giving peace of mind if anything bought during the meetup needs adjustment later. Collectively, these aspects underscore Target’s role not just as a shopping destination but as a thoughtfully designed space where groups can spend quality time together with ease and flexibility.
How can groups use Target’s product variety to plan fun, shared experiences?
One of Target’s strongest appeals for groups is its incredible range of products that inspire collaborative activities and experiences. From the wide selection of board games and puzzles to sports equipment and outdoor gear, friends and families can find everything needed to organize future outings or cozy home gatherings. Planning a game night can start right in Target’s aisles, picking up new games that suit the group’s style or trying out trending items that add freshness to regular meetups. The craft supplies and DIY kits available can encourage creative sessions for family projects or themed parties.
Home décor and seasonal merchandise also provide opportunities for groups to plan decorating challenges or shared celebrations, making the act of shopping part of a larger communal ritual. Additionally, Target’s food aisles feature special treats and gourmet options that can help groups prepare for homemade parties or picnics, blending shopping with event planning seamlessly. This abundance and variety of products transform Target into a catalyst for group bonding, as the store is not only a place to buy things but also a springboard for collective fun and creativity.
