Here's what people think of TeamSnap

As of recent, TeamSnap holds a 2.2-star rating based on 70 reviews.

Reviews of TeamSnap present a mixed perspective. Users who gave positive feedback frequently highlighted the platform’s ease of use, extensive features, and the convenience it offers for managing team communication, scheduling, and payments. Many appreciated the ability to sync events with personal calendars and the flexibility of communication options (email, text, forums). The mobile app was also praised for enabling on-the-go management and real-time updates that keep everyone informed. Customers reported significant time savings and improved organization thanks to TeamSnap's comprehensive tools and intuitive interface. On the other hand, negative reviews often mentioned issues such as occasional bugs, difficulties with customer service, pricing concerns, and some features that users found lacking or cumbersome. Some users experienced frustrations with the user interface or wanted more customization options. The discrepancy in ratings—TeamSnap holds a strong 4.8/5 star rating on the Apple App Store but a far lower rating of 2.2 from 70 reviews elsewhere—indicates varying user satisfaction that may depend on individual expectations and use cases. Overall, TeamSnap remains one of the top sports management solutions, though potential users should consider both the strengths and weaknesses highlighted in reviews to determine if it fits their needs.

The app is overall ok to use. The interface is terrible, but the function is pretty helpful. The big catch is that if you want to delete your team account details or end your payment plan. They have almost nothing for any form of customer service, and they make it almost impossible to cancel payment. Will be looking for another app next time, as this is not ethical.

We used TeamSnap for our hockey league this past year and it is very user friendly. What's even better is the customer support. Best platform out there. We've used the other popular ones and TS is by far the best.

Hate this app. It is unfortunate my daughter's team requires it. There are waaaaaay better options, at least for communication. I think the organization uses this app b/c of the ability to collect money, and maybe that is fine, I don't know...But, on my end, as a parent and someone who needs to communicate with the team, host events, and keep track of things, it is horrible. Trying to get parents all connected has been a nightmare. We almost lost a few parents b/c they were so frustrated with just getting their account established. I don't even think my account is even done correctly, but I have not idea how to fix it. (When I host an even, send a messge, etc., it shows it as coming from my daughter, not me. No good way to see which kids go with which adults, either.) And, it has been such a failure at being a hub of communication, that we've all just reverted back to texting as a group. I wish we were allowed to use Gamechanger for communication, but the athletic director insists on TeamSnap. Such a huge pita.

I just saw that TeamSnap's landing page says 98% satisfaction rating, so I had to write a review. I will 100% tell you there is absolutely no way this is accurate and they know it too. So, when you pay for software called TeamSnap for Business, you expect to be able to run your business with it...call me crazy. Let's start with how the accounts are set up...they have improved this a little where you can now search for a player and access most everything in one spot; however, you can't search by an email or parent name, only the player's name. In the search bar, there are drop downs for every registration the player has ever done. We have one for early contracts, one for acceptance deposits and one for rostering and you have to go through each one to see which actually has the information you want. Not efficient at all. Next, the financials. If you do any adjustments/discounts on your invoices, and use the financial export for your organization, the Excel sheet will show the total due with the amount you've adjusted off, so your AR looks much larger than it should be. Terrible! It includes money you are never going to bring in in your receivables. Whoever threw this module together, knows nothing about basic bookkeeping. It took a bit of analysis to figure out why TeamSnap had $60,000 more in revenues than I was expecting. My biggest invoice issues and major inefficiently, the invoices themselves can't be edited once they are created. My customer calls and says, my installment is due the 28th, but I won't get paid until the 1st...can I move the date. Of course, I say yes, but now I have to adjust the invoice balance to zero (which will still show in my receivables unless I cancel it too) and create an entirely new invoice. THEN... the customer has to add their credit card again, but if they can't schedule the payment in advance, they have to wait until the due date because it always deducts on the day they enter their payment information. Guess how many people forget to enter their card again? Not sure about all of you, but with a club of over 200 players, payment date adjustments are not uncommon. This is time consuming for my customer and me. So, lets talk about my most recent issue...Customer's January payment failed, but their February payment has gone through on the same card. TeamSnap, only tries to process a payment on the due date. My other systems would try for 3 days before giving up. Once the payment doesn't process, it will never try again unless the payment method is updated, even if it is the same payment method. My customers have told me they just assumed the money would come out once the funds were there...logical, right. Nope...not with TeamSnap. And I just found out from support that the failed installment won't be added on at the end, so if you are expecting to get your money by using their automatic installments, you won't unless you create another invoice for that person and adjust off the unpaid balance from the first invoice. I will tell you we wrote off thousands last year because of this and it is still no better. TeamSnap has wasted so much time in things like sponsorships (which have been useless for my club) and pilfering training videos from other to make it look like they are the sports gurus. After watching a few of their webinars that were supposed to outline new features which were really 30 minutes of sales tactics to obtain new customers, I stopped watching. What they tell you on those webinars is their dreamland. The reality of their software is tremendously different. It does not work! They are neglecting to prioritize changes and improvements for their core platform that really matter to a club trying to run a business. I can't say I've found a solution that covers all of the bases, but I will say that TeamSnap is not all that they crack it up to be and there are better solutions available. TeamSnap is getting worse and worse so do your homework before you spend the time and effort setting up club management software.

TeamSnap is a great site for tracking and communicating almost all aspects of a high school team. Schedule, roster, basic stats, daily updates and works well in mobile capacity as well. I'd recommend for use with high school, club, middle school, etc. My favorite feature is realtime game updates to keep family members and team supporters in the loop. I also like that you're able to track assignments for families and availability of players. Mobile updates to schedules are instantaneously communicated.
