I just completed my 2nd session of classes on Photoshop/Lightroom with Patricia. She is an excellent and patient teacher who keeps you interested the entire class. I learned so much! I was unfortunately sick for one week and had to miss a class and Jeffrey (the owner) was very accommodating and worked with me to make sure I was as caught up as possible so I wasn't completely lost in the next class. I would definitely take more classes here!

I was able to attend one class before a family emergency resulted in me having to miss the rest of the sessions. I wish the instructor had been more accommodating and would’ve allowed me to miss a class; instead he advised me that I’d have to wait for the next session which had not yet been scheduled. I ended up not being able to attend any other classes and I’m disappointed that he wasn’t able to be more accommodating.

Amazing experience! Jeffery in a terrific instructor. There was a tremendous amount of information to learn and Jefferey made sure everyone in class understood in an entertaining and energetic way. The class was very hands on, which definitely made learning easier and helped pound it home. Jeffery was constantly asking if anyone had any questions before moving on to the next task. Honestly I can't say enough positive things about Jeffery and his teaching methods. The class was an incredible value for the money, and highly recommend DSoP to everyone interested in photography.

If you are experienced in photography, Jeff (Instructor) will not allow you to skip course Digital Photography 1 to begin at Digital Photography 2. From my experience taking the first course, I was blown away how Jeff instructs the students to shoot in 100 iso in just about every environment. This does not allow one to truly shoot to their fullest potential in manual mode. For example, you would not be able to shoot soft water shots, or an environment with low light with windy leaves to get a sharp and crisp shot without movement or being underexposed. Jeff teaches the basics and instructs from his own shooting style, which I am guessing "studio photography" (an environment that already has artificial lighting). If you are into landscape photography or already know how to shoot in manual, I would not suggest this course to anyone! Jeff is also very bias in his opinions, as he does not teach the pure form of camera mechanics. He did not accurately explain the histogram and glazed over it, as he felt they were inaccurate. He emphasized on metering instead, which is pretty much using the same light sensor in the camera that gives off the readings. Once Jeff felt comfortable with the class, he ego came out. His instructing techniques brought me back to my 1st grade class, where the teacher puts you in front of the students and makes you demonstrate as he criticizes you in an undermining and rude manner in front of your piers. I paid almost $400 for this class, so I do not understand where these power trips come from! The first day of my weekend intensive class was so bad, I did not bother to waste anymore more of my time to show up for the second one. This class is for people who have absolutely no ability and have not clue how to use their DSLR. You will be very limited in what you can actually shoot by an instructor like Jeff. Knowing what I know now, I wish I would have paid a photographer for an hour of their time to give me one on one instructions to the specific things I wanted to learn. An hour on YouTube or Pinterest posts can teach you everything Jeff's course 1 would teach. Sorry if this offends anyone as this is just my opinion. I would hate to see anyone else waste close to $400 on a class that really doesn't give you the full potential of how to operate their camera in manual mode.
