Really cool spot with outdoor and indoor seating. Daily happy hour 4-7 with $5 Old fashioned, $5 ranch water, $5 still austin bourbon and $1 off drafts. Taco truck next door, Barrett’s coffee (verified good) across the street. Will be back to hangout for sure! I am sure the night time vibe is great with the lights.

Long Play is a nice little bar off St. John’s. It’s actually pretty cool and I like how they converted a house into a bar and put a bunch of picnic tables and lights out front. The place looks really nice and has a lot of outdoor and some seating. The staff is really nice and helpful in the places pretty clean. The drinks are reasonably priced and they have a wide selection. The cocktails are interesting concoctions, and although I tried a few like Luna Rosa, Fernette Lynn and Fancy Margarita Rita I can’t say any of them were amazing. The old-fashioned on tap was actually our favorite. Overall, this would be a great place to grab a beer or drink and hang out with some friends.

Long Play is a the perfect neighborhood bar. In additional to the awesome bartenders and staff, local eateries can pop up with their amazing food, the drink specials always hit the spot, and the music feels like it came from my own mixtape. Patio area is great for a nice night, they have heaters for the winter (and if it is cold enough they inclose it). Inside is cozy and you’d be surprised how many people can get in there. Dog friendly outside (has water bowls). Near train station and bus stops.

I've only ever come at night, and only sat outside. The mix of music that they play is usually great, the bartenders have always been really nice, and the atmosphere outside on the picnic benches is really good. It's a quiet chilled out neighborhood bar where you can easily talk to the people you are with. I can't comment at all on any of the food places as they've never been open when I've been here. I wish they used a different cleaner/disinfectant inside as the smell of it is the reason we don't ever visit on a day you'd need to sit inside. Not the biggest issue though when the outside is so nice and Texas weather is generally reliable for sitting outside!

This place used to be cool. Used to be. But last night customer service was farthest from their mind. It’s clear the bartenders are tired, overworked, or just downright cranky. I walked in wearing a guitar on my back and, as a joke said “I’d like a Negroni and a song”. And immediately was met with “NO PLAYING MUSIC, we play our own music”. The bartender clearly didn’t get that I was just asking for inspiration and it was lighthearted conversation. I wasn’t going to do anything against their rules — and it was clearly too loud to play in there. What’s the deal? At 12:00 they asked us to leave, so we were went to finish our drink outside, but the cashier proceeded to continue to crankily tell us to leave. I don’t understand why sitting outside for another 10 minutes past closing is such a big deal. She even tried to recover from her faux pax by saying she appreciates our business, But the mood had turned sour at this point. Will not be coming back if this kind of customer service constitutes. The whole point is that it’s a place to relax, not to be bullied. Here’s a simple way to fix this — set your closing time to 11:30 PM and then give people a chance to wrap up.
