Clay tools are torn up, covered in dried slip, and clearly not cared for. There’s little to no variety in clay types despite the high membership and class prices. People don't clean up after themselves, and it's clear the studio never taught proper studio etiquette. Second: Serious safety and health concerns. Glaze mixing happens right in the middle of the open studio space. Dust is everywhere. There’s no ventilation protocol in place for silica and glaze particles—things that should never be taken lightly in a ceramics environment. While I understand pottery studios can be dusty, this level of neglect is unacceptable. It speaks to a larger issue: this place runs like a chain studio more concerned about profit than art, safety, or people. Third: The customer service is deeply disappointing, especially for anyone with disabilities. I had an overwhelming sensory experience on my first day and tried to explain my access needs clearly and vulnerably. In return, I was met with cold, dismissive responses. It made me feel dehumanized. If you are disabled, neurodivergent, or care about creating inclusive art spaces—please think twice before joining. Emily’s wheel-throwing beginner class was five stars. More if I could give!!! Some on logistics: The entire month-long course was well organized. The price is all-inclusive, covering all the tools, clay, and materials you’ll need, shelves, etc. You learn basics of throwing, then shaping, then trimming, then finally glazing on the last week. They give you some time after your month to continue glazing but no throwing unless you’re paying for the following month. You’ll receive a a code to the door and can practice on the wheel as long as another class isn’t there between 10a - 10p. It’s a little difficult to maneuver that on weekends, but manageable. There are a few parking spots, but similarly wouldn’t count on an open one all the time. I felt like I saw such progression between week one and two - I’m so grateful for Emily’s encouragement and patience throughout the process. She’s a wonderful teacher - you can tell how passionate she is about the art itself and she has such a love of teaching. She’s was so present for all of my / others’ “breakthrough” moments and was such a cheerleader. I adore her!!! She creates a very fun and stress-free environment while offering clear guidance and encouragement that makes pottery feel approachable for beginners. I was amazed at how much I learned and how proud I felt of my (almost finished.. still glazing) pieces!!! I will 100% come back to take her class again and continue to learn from her. She had a TON of former students come back to take her class over and over again, which I can understand why. I’ll be back for a May class because of her 😁

LOVE this place! Awesome classes and studio space that is bright, wide open and has so many different offerings. The staff and teachers are really smart, kind, and so helpful. This is one of only a few places that fires cone10 reduction, which is perfect for porcelain. Unlike other studios in the area (that fire the same way) this studio is, in fact, inclusive and way more welcoming than other studios where I’ve done ceramics previously. I wish all studios were this awesome!
