I was truly amazed that this rink is open on March 26, 2024 given the mild temperatures we've been having for a few weeks now! The rest of the rinks in NYC have all closed due to the warmth. Small and cozy rink right outside the Brookfield Place. Usually, not too crowded. November 16, 2024 update: the rink had opened for the season! March 9, 2025 update: the rink IS closed for the season! !

We really enjoyed our experience here. It was warm out today in the low to mid 40's so the ice wasn't super great, a little like pond ice, but if you are looking for competition ready ice at a small outdoor winter rink you have unusual expectations. They ice was resurfaced right before we got on which was perfect as who doesn't love a fresh ice cut. To get to the edge of the ice check in was a breeze. We brought our own skates, but we're greeted warmly by the staff at the rental area all the same. Stepping onto the ice surface we immediately started to glide around and have a great time. The view of the water as the sunset was gorgeous. We look forward to heading back again to enjoy this rink.

This has to be one of the most magical places in NYC simply because it so peaceful and such a great time with gorgeous views of the skyline and trees lit up for the holidays! My boyfriend and I went during Thanksgiving and it will be a memory we will never forget!

Good price, amazing view while you skate, not too full even on holidays. It was a highlight of my trip.

Had a lot of fun, nice place! Twice cheaper than others city rinks. It was a sunny day and the ice was melting a little, there were some small puddles, but that didn't stop us from having fun. I advise you to come early in the morning or in the evening on a sunny day. but overall a very cool place, the kids loved it.
