I visited the rink with my friend last week. It really was such a great experience. Everything was very smooth - we came at our slot time and were quickly directed to the skate rental and then the lockers. Keep in mind that because of these procedures, you only get to skate for about 50 minutes, which was long enough for us! The only issue is the absurd cost ($55 for a weekend evening). We bought tickets for cheaper on a third-party website, which I highly recommend!

We visited the famous Rockefeller Christmas Tree at the Rockerfeller Center at the Rink and the tree was beautiful. TIP: We woke up at 330am during the holiday season to be able to escape the crowds, get good photo ops, and use our illuminating light to bring home good memories. Totally recommend visiting during this time of the year.

We visited top of the rock and had to wait 2 ½ hours to get to the top. Almost missed our booked time for skating at the rink. Visited the first weekend of December …. I warn you VERY BUSY! But an experience that I’ll always remember

As lovely as Rockefeller is, my five stars are to employee Daniel. We came in to visit from Boston and went to the rink in January 2024 (two moms, 2 10 year old girls). The girls met employee, Daniel, who skated around with them, entertained them, took pictures with them, and made their skating time such an incredibly memory. This year in March 2025, we came back to NYC and the first and highest priority for the now 11 year old girls was to go see If Daniel was still at the rink. He was there and he made their weekend! They again skated around and he took pictures with them and he made their time so special. We will be back next year, thanks to Daniel and his incredible hospitality and memory making for these girls.

Came around Christmas on December 23. There were huge crowds and finding the exact entrance was a bit difficult but the staff was very helpful. I was so appreciative of the staff because it was a bit frustrating trying to find your way and they were very kind and patient when helping. Otherwise, it was a fairly seamless process. You are given a colored sticker and that is how they track your allocated time to skate. When your time is up they will announce that whoever has that color is to exit the rink. Despite the large crowd, once on the ice the rink was so much fun! There was a mix of all levels of skaters so just be mindful of your surroundings. A lot of people wanted to take pictures under the famous lit up tree and it was a perfect opportunity. The staff on the ice were attentive and helpful. You could tell they were very knowledgeable of their job. Lockers were provided for your shoes and other small items. It was an experience that I can say was my favorite part about my visit to New York for the holidays.
