This is an awesome addition to Chicago— and one of my favorite outdoor venues that I’ve ever attended anywhere in the country. It’s a mix of indoor and outdoor locations , and has plenty of food options. There are lots of alcohol, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverage options. The restrooms are extremely clean. There are also lots of options for seating locations at various price points . It’s easy to use their ticketing system, and I found prices here for big name ax have been significantly lower than what I’ve seen at similar large venues in Chicago.

This venue is absolutely incredible. I love how they made use of the extra warehouse space by adding an arcade, bar, shops, and even adding a Goose Island brewery. They really designed this place with concerts in mind. If you like to sit or stand, there is a place for you. If you have the opportunity to see a show here, go.

Went to the Salt Shed to see PRIMUS and was not disappointed! Show was on the outside stage and we had the "premium" general admission, which meant we were in the upper section. While we definitely enjoyed the area up there, next time we will probably just get the regular general admission. Sound wise everything sounded great in the wide open space! Bathrooms were well kept and clean, food on site was great! We had the tacos and price wise didn't find it anymore hateful than regular fair food, but 10x more delicious. Definitely will be watching who will be playing at this venue as we would love to come back!

Eeeeeatscon! Never been to the salt shed but have always drove passed it. Bought a ticket for an event Ive never attended but when it said exclusive I knew I had too... the venue was great and inviting; space was not crowded whatsoever and the ambiance a great 10/10. Knowing they're will be more events at the shed ill definitely look to see if theres anything interesting going on now and add that to my places to visit once again. Highly recommend events at this venue and will be returning soon.

A great venue for shows, nice level of volume so the show can be heard everywhere but not so loud you won't be able to hear for a week after. Not without it's challenges though... There is very little seating, plan to stand for 3-4 hours unless you get there early and get a seat. We saw multiple folks with leg braces and other handicaps not able to sit and actually being turned away by staff saying there's no seats left. We wanted to visit the Goose Island restaurant while at the show, and the entrance was on the other side of the ticket booth. It's posted that you can not re-enter. We thought it was part of the fairgrounds. I asked the staff, and they said you would need to go BEFORE entering the venue even though it says it's part of the fairgrounds on the website. Plan accordingly. All the loft areas areas that overlook the fairgrounds need premium tickets that go for $75 a person. General admission, gets you the ground floor so you will not be able to up to the higher areas unless you pay in advance.
