We went in the afternoon on a weekend and it wasn’t too crowded — mostly people coming in and out. Ordered the brown butter & salt and the peach cobbler donuts. It’s definitely good to go with a few other people if you’re not feeling super hungry; the donuts are pretty filling and you can try a few different flavors. Both donuts were a bit too sweet for me and tasted a little dry. There are a few tables and window seating, making for a comfortable ambiance, as well as a tap for water. Definitely would like to go back to try their coffee drinks

The maple and brown sugar cold brew was way too sweet. It tasted like straight sugar, no coffee flavor at all, and it was hard to drink. The everything bagel pastry was extremely dry. It was very flat, had barely any cream cheese, and looked very different than it did online. The last item I tried was the traditional glazed donut, which again, suffered from being far too sweet with nothing to balance it out. For a place called “the Salty” y’all sure do seem to prioritize sugar above all else.

I’m typically not a big fan of donuts, but The Salty has both a beautiful ambiance and the best donut I’ve had, the Brown Butter & Salt! Plus, their coffee is actually fantastic (and I recommend dunking one of the donuts in their coffee for the full experience). Not to mention, both Krog Street and The Beltline are right outside. It makes for such a beautiful start to the day - breakfast and a walk down an aesthetic, very safe stretch of the Beltline!

I’ve always loved the donuts here and have been visiting for over two years now, but the quality and taste of the donuts are not the same as the used to be — they taste stale and very dry. I was looking forward to trying the key lime donut, but it was not fresh at all. I hope they improve the quality of their donuts.

I ordered these donuts through Doordash. I was needing a sugar fix. Well these donuts did the trick. That Samoa donuts so good. I put a little heat on them and just fell off into la la land. This is on my list as one of the greats. Don't miss out, I will be returning
