I'm currently staying there and the place is okay if you don't have a place to stay but that's up to you to decide. ADVISE: Keep to yourself unless you find someone trustworthy (Very Rare). Learn how to read people's intentions. Keep treating staff with respect even if there are been rude or they'll kick you out. Pros: Beds are comfortable and sheets are clean, Good food and the dining hall is clean. Cons: Staff is rude even if you treat them with respect. Staff is uneducated. Can't take shower because water heater doesn't work and lots of people stinks because of that. Bathroom is dirty and most homeless people don't have common cortesy to clean them after they are done using them. If you are new they'll serve you less food (doesn't happen often but it happen to me).
Richy Right
The salvation army in Central square in Cambridge on Massachusetts avenue health helped a lot of people throughout the long years that they have been there in that location. I have never stayed there overnight but I have occasionally had need of a shower which they were able to accommodate and a meal from time and time and a couple times during my laundry when I didn't have any money to do them,, don't let your pride get in the way of getting some help from a place like salvation army!! You need to call at 6:00 a.m. the same day to reserve a bed if they have any if you need a place to sleep for the night. If you're going to be staying there I recommend trying to get a bed as close as possible to staff as possible, do not have any loose belongings on you when you go there as they might get stolen, if we have something of value keep it under your shirt or coat or sweater and tie it to you securely before you go to sleep..

My daughter goes to daycare here, I love that it's affordable and they work with you with your payments. Staff (Teachers) has its days when they are moody but for the most part my daughter is taken care of and is happy there. That's my priority most of all. They have helped contribute to my daughter's growing and learning as well. She have been there since she was an infant and going on 3 now.

I attended the Salvation Army Church from September 2015 to July 2016, and I had a great time. Eventually, I, out of the goodness of my heart and to keep busy, as well, began volunteering. In addition, I have a lifelong history of volunteerism. During my time volunteering at the shelter, everything thing was going great and I was so happy until an overnight worker began harming me & I had no other choice but to quit at my own volition (and I'll just leave it at that). Despite being heartbroken at that time, and angry as well; I am a lifelong forgive & forget Christian and thus, I forgive anyone who was involved; and I'm looking forward to that day when I decide to return. 5 Stars: Keep Doing the Most Good
